What jewelry can I sell online with Unvault?

Unvault buys natural diamonds and gemstones, gold jewelry in any karat (10K, 14K, 18K, 22K), silver jewelry, platinum jewelry, gold watches, and designer or estate pieces from brands like Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and David Yurman. If your piece contains precious metal or a natural gemstone with a strong resale market, it's likely Unvault-Eligible.

How do I get a free jewelry valuation?

My ring has a lab-grown diamond but is set in gold — is it Unvault-Eligible?

Partially. The gold setting has real material value and Unvault can assess that component. The lab-grown diamond itself, however, won't contribute to the valuation. In practice, the gold value will drive your offer for those pieces.

I have a certified appraisal — does that change anything for Unvault-Ineligible pieces?

An appraisal is valuable documentation and we always want to see it, but it doesn't change which categories we operate in. Appraisals often reflect replacement value or retail pricing, which differs from what a resale market will bear. We expand our categories as resale markets develop the depth and liquidity needed to serve our customers fairly. We'll update this page when new categories are added. In the meantime, adding an Unvault-Ineligible piece to your portfolio keeps it documented for the future.

What should I do with an Unvault-Ineligible piece if I want to sell it?

It depends on the piece. For lab-grown diamonds, specialized dealers focused on that market will be better positioned to offer fair value. For pearls and colored stones, local estate jewelry shops or consignment often returns more than a wholesale offer. For watches outside our categories, platforms focused specifically on watch resale are worth exploring.

Can I still add an Unvault-Ineligible piece to my portfolio?
